Monki

Love it! Love it! Love it!
I recently found the Monki store off Oxford Street while shopping with one of my friends. I had heard of it from a couple of youtubers and bloggers and decided the clothes looked really pretty! I first looked online and planned to buy a few items later on in the week when I had time. However, the very day I planned to buy these items, I found them in the store off Oxfore Street! Saved me £6 in shipping and I got the clothes immediately! So happy!
Monki, in my opinion, is very unique. Each store has a quirky and different layout and the clothes are lovely and most of the time, well priced. Here are a couple of examples of stores:

I'm not sure where the first store is but the second is the store I went to off Oxford Street in London. As you can see they are very different.
      This is what I bought:
Lerima Top
£6

AIDA Singlet
£5

Millie Shirt
£19

I love both the tee and the vest top as the fabric is soft and silky and hangs beautifully! I actually bought the vest top in grey but they don't have the colour online I don't think so I can't show you the picture. But I do plan to get more colours soon. They are great layering pieces and work as a base for most outfits. They are so versatile. Pair them with some jeans and a jacket for a casual look or dress them up with a body con skirt and some wedges.
The Millie shirt is lovely aswell. I bought it in a medium as they didn't have a small and I didn't want to order it in the post to find the small didn't fit. The sizing on Monki is quite strange. So this means the medium is big and baggy and covers my bum. I don't really mind though. I wear it with either of the tops, a pair of denim shorts or black body con skirt and some brown boots or black lace-up brogues. The fact that I wear something tight on the bottom means that the top doesn't swamp me as long as I roll up the sleeves and have the buttons undone. I could also wear it with skinny jeans or leggings as the shirt covers my bum. I'm not a fan of leggings being worn as trousers. Too many people think they can and you end up being able to see their knickers through their leggings! Not attractive at all!
Anyway! That's my jibbering done! Hope you found this useful. You can look online on their website for a store finder or order online if there's not one near!

Speak to you soon!

Things I'm Going To Buy (When I Have Money That Is)

Hello again! I'm back and once again rather late but I hope this post may in some small way make up for it! This is a post on my must haves for as soon as possible, and once I am no longer penniless, I will buy them!

Beauty Products
Max Factor Colour Effect Flipstick in Gipsy Red
£8.49
It's red lipstick. It's gold glitter. I can't think of a more beautiful way of wearing a lipstick than this. A must-have for Autumn! I can't wait for it to be acceptable to once again wear dark colours on my lips!

Max Factor Colour Elixir Lipstick in Mulberry
£7.99
I am well aware that once again this is a Max Factor product but you can't fault the quality in my opinion. If I had to choose between the two, I'd definitely choose this one! It's cheaper, I've already got a red lipstick and the purple is just beautiful! It suits my skin tone, it lasts pretty long for a lipstick, the packaging is pretty-the list goes on and on!

Clothing Items
Black Cotton Maxi Skirt
Topshop £20
This is not exactly the skirt I'm looking for but a plain black cotton maxi skirt is surprisingly hard to find. I just want something cosy and comfy for Autumn and Winter and no-one seems to be stocking what I so desperately want! I'll probably end up buying this one and giving it a go though!

Leather Leggings
Topshop £22
I have been watching a lot of youtubers lately and leather leggings came up on quite a few channels. I've always been quite anti-this sort of thing but I've decided I'm going to stop judging something before I've even given it a chance. I've tried a pair on at the store and I must say, they don't look half bad! These aren't actually leather, but they look it and are therefore a lot cheaper.

So that's it for now! I'll do another post on anything else I want and I'm also going to be posting some items I've bought recently so stay tuned! Ummm...sorry for the lack of diversity when it comes to stores but it just so happens both of the lip products I want are from Max Factor and it's late and I couldn't be bothered to be scaling the internet for different stores when it came to the clothing items! Hope you liked this! Speak to you soon!

Hiya! I thought that maybe you guys would want to know something about my music taste! Okay, so no, I cannot put the music I listen to into a genre but I'll let you know my favourite people and songs at the moment via a playlist:

The Runway.

Oh dear! I feel pretty terrible about neglecting this blog. I had no idea it had been 10 days since my last post! My excuse is that I've just gone back to school and I'm settling back into a routine and getting my head around being back at school after a long break.
Anyway, recently I've subscribed to fashiontv on youtube and I have to say, I love watching the videos! There are at least a couple of videos each day of runway shows or photo-shoots from every designer you can think of! They do both videos of the actual show and then the backstage footage of the hair and make-up. I really find it very interesting and it's great looking at all the different designer's Autumn/Winter collections.
My favourite has to be the Ne. Tiger Autumn/Winter 2012-2013 collection. It was just so beautiful and oriental! I loved the intricacy of each piece and how they were wearable but beautiful and precious at the same time. Each piece was also so different to the next which was great seeing as many fashion shows end up with very similar outfits. I loved how traditional it all seemed and the set-up of the actual runway was amazing. It was all quite tranquil and elegant.

Thanks for reading!

Mascara

When it comes to mascara, I always go for something relatively cheap because you can't always test them out. I'm not one of those people who will spend £10 on a mascara because £10 is a lot to me. It normally turns out great because I'm pretty easy to please. Make them stand out because I have very pale eyelashes and make sure it's easy to remove because I don't want to scrub my eyelashes off. One that didn't turn out how I expected was Collection 2000's Longer Lash black Waterproof Mascara:
I was really excited to try it as I am with all make-up products and was at first impressed by it. I liked the packaging and it seemed to make my lashes longer. And it was only £1.99! However when the end of the day came to take it off, I had to really scrub my eyes to remove it. I used make-up remover but it seems as if this mascara isn't just waterproof but make-up remover proof which isn't very helpful at all! Plus I was on holiday and forgot to take my mascara off when I went in the pool and so therefore ended up with some under my eyes (not very waterproof then) but even then the smudges under my eyes took way to long to get rid of! So basically in conclusion, I'm very disappointed in this product but at least I only spent £1.99 on it! I haven't tried any other products in the range and so therefore can't judge the whole brand, just this one mascara. Basically, steer clear of this! Hope this was useful!

Trends for Autumn/Winter 2012 :: Shoes

Okey Dokey! I talked of trends for Autumn/Winter 2012 in one of my previous posts about Vogue and I am now going to quickly run through of the shoe trends to look out for!
First off, no time for rambling! One of the more talked about trends: the granddad/gentleman's slipper. If you don't know what I mean, here are some examples:
Office
Velvet Slippers
£40
As recommended by British Vogue
comfortable, quirky, velvet, different, pirate, in another season trend of 'oxblood' red

Topshop
Maveriq Heavy Stud Slippers
£32
5* reviews on Topshop.com
light, studded, drama, edgy, popular

H&M
Imitation Suede Sparkly Slippers
£14.99
cute, feminine, nude, soft, cheap, sparkled

Next up is always a Autumn winter staple but it's come into it's own this season with a lot moree hype: ankle boots/booties :)

H&M
American-Indian Style Ankle Boots
£14.99
I Want These
versatile colour, tan, fringing, colour detailing, comfortable

Zara
Flat Ankle Boot With Laces
£59.99
old-fashioned, hard-wearing, versatile, leather

Topshop
Mario Fur Collar Hiking Boots
£40
hard-wearing, practical, fashionable, fur, suede

Just realised all the ankle boots are brown :/
Oh well! I think they're gorgeous anyway! There is actually a black version of the Topshop ankle boots without the fur if you want. Anyways, I hope you like this because it took me ages doing all that research for you guys! I hope you found it useful and even if you knew of these trends, that the examples were helpful. By the way, all the shoes featured in this are on sale NOW online and I believe they all do international shipping so yeah, off you go and buy them! Ummm...I hope the prices were affordable as well. Shoes are always slightly more expensive than clothes so it's hard to find something really cheap! The gentleman's slippers are great for Autumn when especially in the UK, you hold onto any warmth you can get whilst the ankle booties are perfect for the depths of winter huddled up in hats, scarves, gloves and coats with a hot chocolate to hand!
So yeah, hope you found this useful!

Instagram

Okay! So I'm new to this Instagram thing but I'm willing to give it a go! It seems like a good idea and everyone is talking about it so I thought to myself, why not? I have a much better camera on my new phone and I love pretty pictures! So I have Instagram if anyone is interested! I'm georgi_ac so search and you will find me! I have literally only just started now so there's not much up yet but I'll get round to it!
Here's my profile picture as well as my first uploaded picture. It was taken from my Vogue magazine with my phone :)
       Thanks! Gee xxx

Vogue

      Hiya!
I want to talk a little bit about Vogue and how I stumbled across it!
Okay so on the way back from the best holiday I have ever had, whilst in the airport still in France, me and my friend decided to go in search of something to buy (seeing as we had quite a bit of money left). We had had to leave our complex at 10, check the car in at the airport at 11 and our flight wasn't until 4 so it was slightly inconvenient!
So, we had to spend around 4 hours (take off an hour for checking in) wandering around aimlessly in the smallest airport ever. We went into a little newsagents and started looking through all the French magazines and trying to translate them. After about 10 minutes of this, I spotted that there were in fact some English magazines (this cheered us right up!) and so we started looking through them.
I've never actually read Vogue. Mainly because I've never seen one in the newsagents and places I go, so I was intrigued. I picked it up (it was massive!) and started flicking through and decided I wanted to buy it. It was around 8 but it didn't bother me because for once I actually had money! Here's the issue I got:
As you can see it's the British September Issue and it was the biggest fashion issue ever! Which makes me happy because it was also my first ever issue :)
I've always loved fashion and have therefore been aware of trends but never to the extent that I am now thanks to this wonderful magazine! It's just so beautiful with pages upon pages of different brands. Some you think eurgh-I'm not sure about that! But some are just gorgeous! Like the mulberry 'where the wild things are double page spread:
It just stood out for me as so different and unique as well as strangely beautiful! Such an interesting idea and I love the link between the children's story and high fashion. It's very mystical and strange. Set in a forest with the mist coming through the trees. Despite their obvious size and stature, I love how they go unnoticed by the model in this picture. There is no danger, just curiosity. And the model is beautiful dressed in the fuzzy coat inspired by the Wild Things, the gorgeous heeled ankle boots which are set for fame though Autumn/Winter 2012 and of course, the signature Mulberry Bag.
So that concludes the first part of my Vogue adventure! I'll definitely be looking more closely at more of the magazine and talking about what trends are forecasted for Autumn/Winter 2012 :)

Our Lives Our Defined By Opportunities. Even The Ones We Miss. Life Is Too Short To Wait.

Shea Body Mist

      Okay so here we go.......
I want to start reviewing on items I have purchased and tell you my take on them. Because it's always nice to be reassured that something is nice before forking out your money for it or in contrast, being told how awful a product is before you make the same mistake! So first off from the BodyShop:
Shea Body Mist
(£7)
Oh My Gee! It smells so good! I don't know why I like it so much and I don't know if maybe it's just me! But it's rather strange as I don't normally like the smell of Shea. It's never really interested me that much. But as we me and my friend were leaving the shop, a lady asked if I wanted to try it and I obviously said yes. And I Loved It. So yeah, go buy it! Nah, I'm joking. It's not fruity or sweet. It's not too in your face but it's still there. Okay maybe it is kinda sweet but how can you explain a smell!? It always makes me feel a whole lot better and prettier and all that. I feel it adds to an outfit I suppose. I feel as if I must smell beautiful and the smell does last! It's one of my first fragrances I've tried as I'm not normally a perfume girl but I'm glad I gave it a go! Great value for money in my opinion and I hate spending money! It also seems to last for a long time which is a bonus. It's still basically full despite getting it well over a month and a half ago! So, if you're in the vicinity of a BodyShop, I fully recommend going in and trying it! You might even get a free hand massage (they were amazing).
      Till next time!

And...I'm BACK!

Gosh! One would wonder if I had died due to my abundance of not being here-ness! Wow, that really made no sense. Anyways, as per unusual, I've managed to get quite drastically side tracked and last time I posted was July; and it's now September. Which to be quite honest, is terrible! Especially seeing as during that time, I've been on School Holidays!
But, I can be quite lazy...But! In my defence, I'm only lazy when no-one is motivating me. So for example, I do well in school because if I don't do my homework, I get detention. Which is not that fun. So yeah, that's my excuse!
Okay, well let us hope, well mainly me talking to myself...so let me hope, that I will try and give this another go! I have a few ideas lined up for posts I could do and I intend to do just that! So attempting to blog has made it onto my long long list of things to do which also includes all my Art and Geography coursework for the start of school on Wednesday as well as eventually buying a new school bag and shoes for school. Yeah, I'll give it my best shot!
Ooooh! On the topic of school bags, here's what I'm thinking:
Too much? Mum seems to think it's too posh. But I like it and the idea was, I could use it outside of school as well :) By the way it's online at Topshop.com for £36. But don't go stealing them all!
So for anyone who actually reads this, please subscribe or follow or whatever it's called because it really does encourage me to do something! And I do feel as if I could be of some use to you even if in some small way! I check my emails everyday so there's no way I can't get back to you on a question or see that you have followed me mere hours after you sent that question or subscribed.
So yeah! New posts ASAP! I promise!
